Position Title: Development Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Development
Job Type/ Classification: Full Time/Salaried/Exempt
Position Summary: The Development Coordinator oversees our philanthropic sustainability program, and manages, develops and renews donor partnerships towards the end of building advocates for our cause.
This person will work in partnership with the Director of Development, Executive Director, and the Board of Directors.
Principal Responsibilities:
Public Relations and Marketing: This person is responsible for social media management including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and also traditional media management, including press releases and the creation and distribution of public service announcements.
Volunteer Relationship Management: Duties include volunteer acquisition and appreciation.
Fundraising Events: Duties include assisting with the implementation and execution of Dream Center signature events.
Community Involvement: Duties include attending other organizations’ fundraising events (when possible), speaking engagements with civic organizations, and Southwest Indiana Chamber involvement.
Grant Writing: Duties include researching new grant opportunities, preparation and execution of calendar of grant deadlines, and with ED and Grants Consultants, grant writing and submission.
Job Specifications Requirements
A personal and saving relationship with the person of Jesus Christ.
Membership or a regular attender of a Bible believing church or fellowship.
A proven dynamic leader who is creative, strategic, resourceful, and has organizational and planning skills.
Works effectively with all people from various racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and faith backgrounds.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communications skills.
Conditions of Employment:
Pass a background check and hold a valid driver’s license.
Criminal background check must show no conviction of a felony or misdemeanor crime including, but not limited to abuse, drugs or alcohol, neglect, theft or fraud.
Education Requirements:
BA/BS in related field; familiarity with Dream Center programming and/or the Jacobsville Neighborhood is strongly preferred.
