Description:
The primary function of the Outside Salesperson is to maximize sales within assigned territory.
To call upon existing and establish new customers.
The position will increase market penetration by selling and developing market strategies to customers in the designated area and achieve unit goals and gross profit.
Essential Responsibilities:
Be a liaison between the dealership and the customers, call on garages, jobbers, fleet owners and leasing companies, bus fleets.
Promote the sales of parts and accessories and be an advisor to wholesale and retail customers.
Establish a method of payment on wholesale parts and obtain approval of credit from the finance companies.
Spend time each day in the solicitation of new business.
Arrange for and /or conduct shopping surveys of mass merchandising outlets selling fast-moving, competitive parts.
Keep abreast of new products.
Keep Parts Manager abreast of marketing and merchandising conditions in the field.
Arrange the delivery of parts to accounts.

Qualifications:
Candidates will need to possess a strong work ethic and have a” go-getter” attitude.
Be motivated to meet sales goals and gross profits.
Applicant should have a basic understanding of the truck industry.
Must have strong verbal communication skills and good decision making ability.
Candidate must be self-motivated, be able to prioritize, pay attention to details and be flexible.
Applicant should understand the principles of marketing and administration.
Customer service experience and knowledge a must.
Computer Skills
The individual must have basic computer skills of which are to include, Database software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
