· Paid internship starting May 2024
· Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours weekly

*Overview*
The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District (EID) builds a more active and inclusive Downtown Evansville.
We enhance resident, consumer, investor, worker, and visitor experiences in Downtown Evansville.
One of the focus areas for the organization is Events & Marketing.
The EID produces over 20+ events annually and markets Downtown as a vibrant and active neighborhood that is the region’s premier destination for entertainment, dining, and shopping.
This intern will work directly with our Graphics & Events Coordinator and our Marketing & Events Coordinator on our event and digital marketing efforts.
The intern will help to ensure that our events are fun, brand-focused, add value to our property-owners, and are income neutral to the EID.
Summer events include Evansville’s largest 4th of July celebration, Fireworks on the Ohio, and our Night Market Series.
The intern will attend the “Market on Main” weekly and provide information about upcoming Downtown events to market attendees.
All events are outdoors; the position requires the ability to work outside, in all temperatures, during the summer months of the year.
*Responsibilities*
*Events:*
The intern will assist in planning events (including a new summer evening event series!), interacting with event guests, fundraising/sponsorship sales, checking in vendors/contractors and attendees, and analyzing successes and opportunities of the events.
*Communications:*
The intern will support content creation and curation across communications and marketing channels including website, social media, and email marketing.
The intern will prepare our monthly e-newsletter and develop social media content related to our events, including tracking engagement and other metrics.
The position will also create engaging content for our social media platforms, focusing primarily on Instagram and TikTok.

· Must be able to work on July 3rd and July 4th (all day)
Pay: $12.

Due to the nature of our work, this position is onsite.
We will provide a parking garage pass and a workspace for the successful candidate.
