*OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE: *To serve as a lead motivator, supervisor, and developer of the Brinker’s Jewelers sales team.
To help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative.
The sales manager is responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, collaborating on sales plans, and justifying those plans to upper management.
*MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:* · *A Passion for Coaching and Developing Others –* Responsible for managing, coaching, and developing the best performance from each sales team member.
Providing quality time and planned commitment to clearly communicate goals and to establish rationale and enrollment from all team members as it pertains to performance to help them understand their strengths and opportunities.
Always motivating, ensuring, and presenting challenges to each team member to learn and develop new skills while making sure each of those members have the necessary resources to do their job well.
· *Recruiting –* Responsible for identifying sales talent in Evansville and developing a pipeline of candidates who are vetted (credit, background, personality tests completed) and benched for call-up when needed to replace underperformers or retirees.
Cognizant of timelines for all associates and ready for unexpected departures with a succession strategy devised for all relevant producers.
· *Deliberative Decision Making – *Able to effectively reach logical conclusions to provide sustainable outcomes by gathering, considering, and evaluating all relevant information before putting them into action; In relation to driving sales, maintaining margins, communicating about sales goals, and accountability of the sales team.
· *Driving Results – *Motivating members of the sales team to achieve and exceed goals by establishing accountabilities, clarifying performance expectations, agreeing to ambitious standards and measures, monitoring and reviewing performance, and providing timely and relevant feedback.
Facilitating weekly sales training meetings averaging 15 minutes (short attention span aware).
· *Business Acumen – *Making sound business decisions based on a strong understanding of Brinker’s business model, strategic goals, and relevant policies, as well as best practices.
Using “_What would Dean do?_” as a compass.
Able to address Sales Per Hour metrics as a benchmark along with discount percentage, gross margin return on investment, commission inquiries and staff rankings.
· *Composure and Resiliency –* Effectively deals with pressure, maintain focus and intensity, while remaining optimistic and persistent, even under adversity.
Ability to quickly recover from setbacks and conflicts while maintaining self-control.
· *Customer Service –* Leading the sales team as an excellent example of proper behavior and high performance by demonstrating sales leadership and playing an active role on the sales floor.
Ensuring elevated levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service including responding to customer and sales staff complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Google/The Knot/Facebook reviews of associates are the purview of the Sales Manager to facilitate learning opportunities and maximize positive reviews while nearly eliminating negative reviews.
· *Daily Operations –* Ensuring that the opening and closing procedures for the store are executed properly and to their entirety in a timely manner.
This includes the opening and closing of the cash register by ensuring it is at the proper level for daily operation and end-of-day deposits and reports are completed and accurate.
*REQUIRED SKILLS:* * Desire to use, train and trouble-shoot sales tools such as Fraud Fighter, Geller Blue Book, Podium, Clientbook, Edge Pulse, Synchrony, Wells Fargo, Zillion, JetScan 4065ES, Dr.
Watson 4.
0, Parcel Pro, DISC, CardKnox, etc.
· Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
· Ability to develop and train associates, build relationships, and utilize skills of sales team appropriately.
· Proven de-escalation skills both for clients and associates.
Capable of recovering dissatisfied clients and bringing them back into shopping with Brinker’s Jewelers.
· Effective communication skills in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to sales staff.
* Possess a vast knowledge of jewelry, jewelry repair, watch repair, and jewelry sales techniques.
* Ability to hold associates accountable regarding incomplete job take-ins, unrealistic promise dates, merchandise holds, and inactive layaways or late/slow payers.
*REQUIREMENTS:* · Successful prior experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectiveness at all levels.
· Dressing the part and exceeding the company’s minimum standards of acceptable attire.
* Relevant experience in luxury customer service.
· Proven critical judgment and decision-making skills.
· Be able to stand for 8 hours and occasionally lift 40 pounds.
· Corresponding *Critical Thinking* and *DISC* scores validating sales manager role function fit.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $85,000.
