ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure delivery vehicle is in a safe operating condition by completing the pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
Verify accuracy of all equipment picked up or delivered using PO and Job Number.
Maintain a clean, safe environment in the cab as well as outside of vehicle, plus ensure gates and lift gate are secure to the vehicle; wash vehicle as necessary.
When not in use, all straps and blocking materials & tools are to be safely stowed in their proper place.
Comply with all safe driving rules and traffic laws.
Ensure that the materials on the truck are secure, properly strapped and blocked.
Ensure that all paperwork is in the vehicle when handling hazardous material.
Performs material, tools, and equipment pickup at suppliers for delivery to either the shop or jobsite.
Ensure that all deliveries arrive in a timely manner.
Enter incoming and outgoing material/equipment deliveries into our software tracking program.
Inspect incoming products for damage.
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
End of the day: make sure all delivery packaging is discarded in the proper container and all paperwork is turned in (pick/up delivery receipts, pre-post trip inspections).
Loading and unloading of delivery trucks and gang boxes.
Inventory of tools, stocking and restocking of tools and equipment.
Keep shop clean and materials/tools organized.
Notify proper staff of any vehicle maintenance issues.
Assist with warehouse duties when needed along with odd jobs around office area.
Knowledge of construction tools and equipment a plus.
Experience operating a fork truck (if no experience, training will be provided).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent.
Work hours: 7:00 a.
m.
– 3:30 p.
m.
Monday – Friday (additional hours when necessary).
Current DOT Medical Card (Preferred).
Clean MVR.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
