POSITION DETAILS: This position is for a 52 week Bus Mechanic/Relief Driver position.
5 days per week at 8 hours per day.
Scheduled hours are 5:00am - 2:00pm with the opportunity for daily overtime.
This position will begin on January 22, 2024.
SALARY: $24.
37 per hour (entry level) + $.
50/hr for CDL.

SUMMARY: Serve as mechanic and relief driver in the Bus Transportation Garage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose and perform all mechanical, electrical, and other repairs, service, and maintenance on school buses and other vehicles assigned to the school bus transportation department for service and maintenance.
Maintain a daily work schedule and accurate records on assigned vehicles.
Identify and report potentially dangerous equipment and additional repairs needed.
Perform service calls and on the road repairs as needed.
Maintain a clean and sorted workspace in the garage.
Drive a school bus route as needed.
Maintain regular attendance.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have working knowledge of Windows XP and all diagnostic programs.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with, staff.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of School Trustees policies.
