KCARC is seeking applications for Appointment Transporter.
This is a full-time on site position.
Summary:
The Medical Care Specialist is responsible for transportation to therapy, mental, medical, vision and dental appointments, and maintaining medical records and communication of medical appointments to appropriate individuals.

Qualifications:
Maintain reliable transportation available for use during working hours, valid driver’s license and provide proof of automobile liability coverage.
Possess an excellent driving record.
Obtain and maintain KCARC authorization to drive agency vehicles.
Maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Use tact and empathy when dealing with people of varied backgrounds.
Work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
