Truck Driver (straight truck)

Wright Steel has been a family-owned steel distributor business in the Evansville area for many years.
We are currently seeking a *full-time truck driver* for local deliveries.
*\*\* Day shift, home each night* *Job Responsibilities:* · Ability to drive a straight truck in a safe and proper manner · Conduct pre-inspections · Ensure loads are properly secured to truck · Pick up materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed · Load and unload cargo as necessary · Ensure all safety policies are followed · Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy · Occasional warehouse duties · Other duties as assigned *Driver Skills and Qualifications:* · High school diploma or equivalent · Must have a chauffeur’s license · At least 2 years’ experience driving a truck · Must be at least 21 years of age · Must adhere to all traffic laws · Warehouse experience a plus · Pallet jack and fork truck experience a plus · Ability to lift 30-40 lbs occasionally · At least 3 years of clean driving record · Ability to listen and take instruction · Must be dependable and have good attendance Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Vision insurance Trucking driver type: * Company driver Trucking home time: * Home daily Trucking route: * Local Work Location: In person
