Responsibilities:
Print and verify all labels and travelers correspond with information on the production schedule.
Supply and remove product via forklift in the Laminate Department.
Inform operators of upcoming job changes.
Label scrap correctly and send to designated location
Help stock areas with bags, boxes, and production supplies.
Assist operators with labels and paper work as necessary.
Keep work sections in a clean and orderly manner.
Help oversee and assist temporary employees with packing and associated paperwork.
Requisition parts as needed and issue to the proper machine.
Return unused skids to the warehouse and Printing.
Assist Laminate Tube Setup Technicians as needed.
Work with IT to make sure printers and scanners function properly
Make space available for rework storage
Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED equivalent
Strong problem solving skills to assist with laminate tube assembly issues.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 6 times per hour
Ability to safely operate a fork lift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others.
Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness
Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on fork lifts
Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 7 hours during an 8 hour work day
Minimal lifting capabilities of 20 lbs.
at a minimal frequency of 20 times per hour
Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance and minimal near vision ability to read 10 – 12 point print at a distance of 12 – 18 inches
Ability to reach and lift 20 lbs.
to shoulder height at a minimum of 10 times per hour.
Ability to lift 70 lbs to waist height a minimum of 15 times/shift.
Must be available to work overtime/weekends as required by business needs.
